Girls Rugby - A Season to Remember

On May 25th the girls' rugby team, which included players from all four schools in the division,  travelled to Dauphin to take on the Clippers for the Westman High School Rugby title.  The team was coming off of back to back league championships, so winning their third was the 3-Peat the girls were looking for.  The final score was 27-7 over Dauphin; mission accomplished!


The girls' rugby team, which is comprised of players from all 4 high schools in the division, captured their 3rd consecutive provincial title.  


The provincial championship was played in Winnipeg on May31 and June 1.  The team defeated Kelvin High School in the semi final game with a score of 80-0 and moved on to play Sisler High school for the championship.  The girls dominated the game, winning 58-5.  


This is the first time that any team has won three consecutive provincial titles.
